- 1kg premium beef short ribs
- 1 cup hickory BBQ sauce & 2 tbsp honey
- 3 medium potatoes & 2 tbsp butter (for mash)
- 1 cup beef broth
- Garlic cloves, rosemary, and thyme
Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions
- Season the beef ribs generously with coarse salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Sear the ribs in a hot dutch oven or heavy pot on all sides until deeply browned.
- Pour in the beef broth, add garlic cloves and fresh herbs, cover tightly, and braise on low heat (or oven at 160°C) for 2.5 hours until the meat is incredibly tender.
- Remove the ribs, brush them generously with the BBQ sauce and honey mix, and broil for 5 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
- Serve the ribs hot over freshly prepared creamy garlic mashed potatoes, drizzling with the remaining pan juices.
